That puts us at the&nbsp;<em>lowest level for March since 2009<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re feeling like buyers are quiet right now, you\u2019re not imagining it. A lot of people are hitting pause due to\u2026 guess what?&nbsp;<strong>Tariff fears and economic uncertainty.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<p>CREA has even slashed its 2025 sales forecast \u2014 they were calling for a rebound, now they\u2019re just hoping we stay flat.<\/p>\n\n\n<hr\/>\n\n\n<p><strong>\ud83c\udfe1 Listings Are Up, Prices Are Down<\/strong><br>We\u2019re seeing more listings coming to market (up&nbsp;<strong>3%<\/strong>&nbsp;month-over-month), and total inventory is now&nbsp;<strong>18.3% higher<\/strong>than this time last year. More choices = more negotiation power for buyers.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>And it\u2019s showing \u2014 the national average sale price fell to&nbsp;<strong>$678,331<\/strong>, a&nbsp;<strong>3.7% drop<\/strong>&nbsp;year-over-year.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>For sellers: pricing aggressively and staging properly matters&nbsp;<em>a lot<\/em>&nbsp;right now. For buyers: this could be your window \u2014 but still, don\u2019t expect deals to last forever.<\/p>\n\n\n<hr\/>\n\n\n<p><strong>\ud83d\udccd What\u2019s Happening Locally?<\/strong><br>The hardest-hit provinces?&nbsp;<strong>Ontario and B.C.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Toronto: down\u00a0<strong>27%<\/strong>\u00a0in sales<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Fraser Valley: down\u00a0<strong>23%<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n<li>Vancouver: down\u00a0<strong>19%<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile,&nbsp;<strong>Prairie and Atlantic Canada<\/strong>&nbsp;are holding up better, with modest price gains still happening in cities like&nbsp;<strong>Winnipeg<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Quebec City<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>St. John\u2019s<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n<hr\/>\n\n\n<p><strong>\ud83c\udfe6 Bank of Canada Holds Steady<\/strong><br>The BoC kept rates at&nbsp;<strong>2.75%<\/strong>, marking the first time they haven\u2019t cut since last June. Their message was pretty clear:<br>\ud83d\udc49 \u201cWe can\u2019t fix a trade war with interest rates.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Translation? Don\u2019t expect rate cuts to save the day \u2014 at least not until confidence in the economy returns.<\/p>\n\n\n<hr\/>\n\n\n<p><strong>\u26a0\ufe0f What This Means For You<\/strong><br>\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>Buyers:<\/strong>&nbsp;You have options right now. More listings, softening prices, and motivated sellers.
